世故繼有，禮教漸頹。敬讓莫崇，傲慢成俗。儔類飲會，或蹲或踞。暑夏之月，露首袒體。盛務唯在摴蒲彈棋，所論極於聲色之間。舉口所談，不出鄙黷之言；攜手所行，無辭穢瀆之事。

Worldly troubles have come one upon another, and ritual-instruction has gradually decayed.Reverence and yielding are no longer esteemed;arrogance and rudeness have become custom.
When companions gather to drink, they squat or sprawl.In the summer months they bare their heads and expose their bodies.Their major occupation lies in nothing but dice-games and pellet-chess;
their highest discourse is exhausted on matters of music and sex.Whatever opens their mouths does not exceed coarse and base speech;whatever they do hand-in-hand never refuses filthy and obscene affairs.
