科大衛

概述

科大衛（David Faure；1947年—），知名歷史人類學家、華南史專家。

生平

早年畢業於聖保羅書院及香港大學歷史系，後來於普林斯頓大學取得社會學博士學位。

於1990 年至 2006 年間，在牛津大學聖安東尼學院講授中國近代史。

於2010 年至 2017 年間，統籌香港政府委託的「中國社會的歷史人類學研究」。

目前已榮休，曾任香港中文大學歷史系教授，《歷史人類學學刊》編輯，及曾任香港中文大學中國研究中心主任。
